Keith James Smiley

Keith James Smiley, 82, of Mooresville, died on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at the Meadow Lakes Senor Living Community in Mooresville.  He was born on October 9, 1943 in Parke County, Indiana to the late Melvin Smiley and Marian (Hazlett) Smiley.

He worked as stocker and bagger at the Kroger in Marwood for many years.  He was a sports fanatic.  A dedicated Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Cubs fan, he was quick to know statistics about his favorite players.  He also loved music and enjoyed playing the drums.  His favorite bands include the Beatles and the Monkees.

Keith will be missed by his family and friends including his sister, Freda Faulkner of Cincinnati, Ohio; and nieces and nephews, Randy Burton, Linda Auberry, Marie Calhoun, Joanne Spears, Larry Faulkner, Julie Pieinis and others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Marian Smiley; brothers, Jessie Smiley and Leland Smiley; sister, Shirley Burton; and nephew, David Faulkner.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 12:00 noon at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.  Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory has been entrusted with the arrangements.
