Kim Hoa Thi Tran

Kim Hoa Thi Tran, 78, of Mooresville, passed away at home on October 20th, 2024. She was born in Phan Thiet, Vietnam on March 22nd, 1946, to the late Nghia Ba Tran and Gioi Thi Le. Kim graduated from high school in 1964 and married Van Ba Huynh in 1965. He preceded her in death in 2010. 

Kim and her family moved to the United States in 1992. She spent 15 years working as a nail technician in Mooresville. Kim enjoyed traveling to Vegas to play Blackjack. She also traveled back to Vietnam often and appreciated the street food vendors. She loved dancing, singing karaoke, watching Drama films, and playing Candy Crush. 

She will be dearly missed and remembered by her family including her children, Kim Dung B. Huynh (husband, Van Nguyen), Kim Uyen B. Huynh, Huan Tran Huynh (former wife, Kim Nhung Nguyen), Van Tran Huynh (wife, Kathy Huynh), Huy Tran Huynh (wife, Yen Ngoc Pham), and Kim Tram B. Huynh; sister, Cuc Kim Tran; and grandchildren, Gia Minh Nguyen, Gia Tri Nguyen, Quang Huynh Nguyen, Dan Tam Huynh Nguyen, Timothy Nguyen, Ethan Huynh, Nhi Ngoc Huynh, Thong “Maxwell” Ba Huynh, Vy Ngoc Huynh, and Tran Huynh Vo. 

Kim’s Life Celebration® Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24th from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. Her earthly remains will be cremated following the service.
