Tad Collins

February 29, 1968 ~ January 26, 2023
Camby, Indiana –Larry “Tad” Collins passed away on January 26, 2023. He was born on February 29, 1968, in Indianapolis, Indiana to his parents Kathy (Spears) Addair and Larry Collins. He was 54 years old.
A Mooresville High School graduate, class of 1986, Tad was a jack of all trades who worked several different jobs over the years. His favorites were with the Indiana Bureau of Corrections, semi-truck driver, and leaning on his younger, much better looking, brother Quentin.
Tad would spend his days fixing his Harley, working for his brother, extreme couponing, or trying to strike it rich in the lottery. An excellent cook, he was known for showing up with smoked meats or a full dinner out of the blue.
His favorite times though were with his friends and family and being Poppy to all his grandchildren. The funniest man many folks ever knew; he was also the most helpful, dropping whatever he was doing when someone needed him. It is obvious that he was loved, and he loved in kind.
Tad is preceded in death by his father, Larry Collins, Sr. and stepfather James “Jody” Addair.
Tad is survived by his mamma Kathy Addair; brother Quentin Addair (Kelly); sister Jody Addair; son Brandyn “Bam” Collins (Emily); daughters Shandra Chappel, Shaylynn Collins (Thomas), and Ashley Ammer; best friend and girlfriend Shannon Lambert and ex-husband Perry Lambert, and grandchildren Mackenzie, Elijah, Emalee, Shealee, Tristain, Eoghan, Lilly, David, Jordyn, Trinity, Landyn, Skylar, Zoey, Paislee, Julian, and Jordyn; nieces and nephews Trey, Taylor, Averi, Brianna, and “Pretty Girl” Brooke; and his loyal companion, Deja.
Friends and family will gather to receive visitors, Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Carlisle Branson Funeral Home from 2-4 pm. Funeral service will follow at 4 pm.
“Always in mamma’s heart and loved until we meet again.”
