Larry Gershanoff

Larry Gershanoff, 75, longtime Mooresville resident, died December 23, 2013. Larry was born November 21, 1938, one of two boys born to the late John and Alvenia (Johnson) Gershanoff.
Larry graduated from Mooresville High School in 1956. He worked at various places including the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, the Department of Correction, and had also been the maintenance manager for apartment complexes in Indianapolis and Columbus. He also worked in his retirement years at Ace Hardware in Mooresville. Larry was a very accomplished carpenter. A strong Christian, Larry was a member of Springhill Christian Center and had also been active in nursing home and boys’ school ministry with his wife for years. He enjoyed horses, the outdoors, and boating. He participated in the Old Settlers Parade riding horses with his children for many years. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Larry will be missed by his family and many friends.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Jo Ella (Perry) Gershanoff; children, Lora Jo Grubbs (Leo) of Maryland, Larry Michael Gershanoff (Stacy) of Mooresville, Jennie Dean Shrout of Mooresville; Amy Jo Gershanoff of Mooresville; brother, John Gershanoff of California; 10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather Thursday, December 26, 2013, 4 to 8 p.m., in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Mark Wright, Friday, December 27, 2013, 10 a.m., in Springhill Christian Center, 12150 N. Rooker Road, Mooresville. Burial will follow in the Mooresville Cemetery. On the Wings of a snow white Dove you were carried today through the golden gates of heaven. In Loving Memory of my Uncle Larry Gershanoff who passed away today. I love you Uncle Larry you will be greatly missed.

Our father in heaven, Larry Gershanoff went home to heaven with Lord. I missed him. His wife Jo is now widow. They will care of her. In Jesus name. Amen
