Larry and his wife Cathy opened there hearts and home to us, the Chastain Family. They kindly invited us over for the 4th of July to watch fireworks and celebrate. The kids wrote with chalk, played and even fished. We enjoyed watching fireworks! It was a wonderful time and they made us feel loved and like family.

Larry was a new friend. I only knew him 6 months or so but in that short time I felt as though I had a made a friend. If we had had more time I’m sure our friendship would have grown but life’s random cruelty prevented it and I will always be sad for that. Many of you knew Larry much longer than I did and for that I am envious. All of the friends and family of Larry have my pure and heartfelt sympathies for the void his death leaves in your heart. I’ll always remember Larry as a brave and honorable man. He was a fighter. How he faced fate should be an inspiration to us all. I am missing my new friend. Rest forever happy Larry for you were loved and cherished by so many people. I wish I had gotten to know you better. John Kowalke
