Guestbook

  1. It was a great time when I went back to Indianapolis for a conference several years ago. I got the chance to meet with Aunt Laura and she took me over to Uncle Roy’s home and then to see Rexann. It sure was fun. I will miss all of the Christmas cards and stories she had to tell. What a great lady. Our sympathies to Rexann and Teresa at this time of your loss. Know you are in our prayers. Love–Wade Grider & family

  2. I discovered this announcement in the Indianapolis Star and then followed up on the Carlsisle Bransion site as the Star suggested.
I suspected that Laura Moore Kern was my great aunt, and that has been verified here. I had only seen my aunt Laura at family funerals and when her grandson became the band director at Waldron. I feel bad that I’ve lost track of her branch of the family since then.
My grandfather was Laura’a brother, Harney who was the second oldest of the 13 children born to J.E.L and Bessie. He was 18 years older than Laura. Grandpa took care of his mother and his younger siblings after the death of John and the oldest brother Tom.
There are too many family stories and memories to go into here, but I remember Laura as a very kind and positive person to be around. My deepest sympathy to her loved ones.

Her family will be In my thoughts and prayers
