Resided in: Mooresville, Indiana

Lena Mae (Fulk) Ooley, 91, Mooresville, passed away unexpectedly on August 26, 2025, from a massive heart attack.  Lena was born on May 23, 1934, in Patricksburg, to the late Adolfus Fulk and Violet (Haltom) Frye Clawson.  Lena married Dan Ooley on February 16, 1952, and he preceded her in death on October 22, 1994.

Lena graduated from Patricksburg High School and worked as a clerical worker for Balkamp for more than thirty years, retiring in 1997.  Lena was a member of the Monrovia Christian Church and was a 50-year member of the Mooresville Order of the Eastern Star #260.  Lena was an active member and volunteer at the Mooresville Senior Center for many years.  She had many friends and wonderful memories that were created through her years at the Center.  She was an accomplished crocheter, loved working jigsaw puzzles, and enjoyed gardening.  It is hard to think of Lena without thinking of her wonderful baked goods, especially pies.  Everything was made with love and from scratch.  Lena will be remembered for her kind and welcoming personality.

In addition to Dan and her parents, Lena was preceded in death by two daughters, Donna J. Ooley and Judith Ann Ooley-Shover: siblings, Clinton Fulk, Donald Fulk, and Frances Elkins, Mary Turner, Ruth Boler, James and Richard Frye.

Survivors include her children, Danny (Phyllis) Ooley and Cathy Deardorf; her companion of ten years, Vernon Jennett; her sister, Barbara Ranard; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Lena’s Life Celebration® Visitation and Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory.  Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m.   Burial will be in Mt.
