Martha Lee Kellems

Martha Lee Kellems, 80, of Martinsville, passed away at home on February 7, 2024. She was born in Plainfield on July 28, 1944, to the late Horton and Iva (Dailey) Stanley. Martha graduated from Plainfield High School in 1962. She married Gerald Kellems in January of 1985, and he preceded her in death in 1997.

Martha was a passionate realtor for over 30 years. She dedicated much of her time to helping others buy and sell houses. She was employed by Century 21, RE/MAX, and most recently Coldwell Banker. Martha was very much a homebody, but when she did venture out, she enjoyed garage sales.

Martha is survived by her daughter, Tina Schubert (Pat) of Martinsville; granddaughter, Linsi Wood (Devon) of Martinsville; great-grandchildren, Dillon, Dalton, Deklon; and a plethora of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

She is preceded in death by her grandson, Johnathon Gibbs; brothers, Bob, Wayne, and Donald Stanley; and sisters, Edith Swinney, Betty Johnson, Alice Earles, and Anna Turner.

In keeping with Martha’s wishes, her earthly remains will be cremated, and she will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Gerald Kellems, in Sugar Grove Cemetery in Plainfield.
