Martha (Marti) Corle Temple Deverick, 69, of Mooresville, IN, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Franciscan St. Francis Health. She was born on January 14, 1948 in Uniontown, PA to Murrell Harrison Temple and Edith Marguerite (Davidson) Temple. Marti is preceded in death by her son Aaryn Page Morris. Her memories will be held closely by her husband Reverend Gene Deverick of Mooresville, IN; two daughters Robin (Bob) Michie of Richmond, VA and Heather (Shahryar) Morris of Sydney, AU; a sister Susan (Eric) DePorte of Oakton, VA; a niece Tara (Lee) DePorte of Brooklyn, NY; a son in-law Max and daughter in-law Jenee of Camby, IN; and seven grandchildren Chap, Cabell, Caroline, Isabelle, Lilly, Alice and Dylan.

Marti was a retired contract specialist at Eli Lilly in Indianapolis for several years. She was a devoted member of Grace Church of Camby. She dedicated her time to Churches in Mission. Marti loved her family whole-heartedly as well as her many friends. She loved to laugh, listen to music, cook, read, walk her dog, craft, travel and relax at the beach.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Marti on Monday, February 20, 2017; 1:00 pm visitation, 2:00 pm service with fellowship to follow at Grace Church, Camby, IN,( SR 67 and Allison Road). Memorial Contributions can be made to:

  2. We will miss seeing you walking your dog everyday in the neighborhood, and talking about the weather, flowers or just life in general. You will be missed. You were one of the kindest people I have ever met, and our family is better off having known you. Fly high neighbor. Prayers to Gene and the family.
