Mary Joyce Roark

Mary Joyce Roark, age 66, of Mooresville, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015, peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Born December 3, 1948, in Scott County, TN, she was the daughter of the late James Henry and Minnie Lee (Terry) Trammell.
Joyce retired from Eli Lilly after 28 years as an assistant purchasing agent. She also was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Winfield, TN.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer C. Roark; her four brothers: George, Wallace, Howard and Henry Trammell; her sister, Mae Hill; and her many nieces and nephews.

I am so sorry for your loss. We send heartfelt condolences. I went to Oneida High School, and was a classmate of Joyce’s, graduating in 1966. I never knew what happened to many people after graduation. My sister called me today, and she had read the obituary. She has lived in Indpls. for almost 60 years. With Deepest Sympathy. I worked with Joyce for many years at Lilly. She was such a lovely person & made all of us smile just being around her! She died too young & I know she’ll be greatly missed. Joyce was a special lady & I know she’s making angels smile in heaven. Praying for her family. ..Monica Taylor
