May Laverne Pritchard, age 86, of Morgantown, formerly of Mooresville, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Born May 9, 1929, in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Hazel (Stephens) Pritchard. Her brothers, William and Ronald along with sisters, Rosanna Beck and Wilma Edwards, also preceded her in death.
Laverne was a hard worker her entire life. She owned and operated Shaw-Nee Dry Cleaners in Franklin, IN for several years.
Survivors include her sister, Mary E. Beck and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory.

Laverne was one the first to make me feel welcome at morgantown . Her daily hugs and support meant so much to me . At times I wondered who was there to take care of whom . I remember the couple of times she went home with me for a visit . She kept us all laughing. My daughters considered her family as much as I did. I could spend days telling stories of our times together in the 13 or so years I was privileged to know her . She was one in a million , loved by all . And will never be forgotten.
