Megan Maureen Dart, age 51 of Avon, Indiana, passed peacefully from this life on July 3, 2025.
Born in Indianapolis on April 26, 1974 to David and Maureen Powell, Megan graduated from Lawrence Central High School and Ball State University with a degree in Exercise Science, where she was a proud member of Alpha Phi sorority. Megan spent the majority of her professional life providing compassionate care to patients at IU West Hospital and The Care Group.
Megan’s warmth, generosity, and infectious love for life touched countless hearts, inspiring all who knew her. She was most proud of her enduring marriage to Michael and the successes of their daughters, Bella and Evie.
Throughout her life, Megan loved traveling with her family and friends, particularly for volleyball tournaments. She enjoyed family vacations and spending time with friends for good conversation, food and drink. In her free time, Megan often volunteered at her daughters’ school and sporting events. She helped many patients through difficult times during her career in healthcare, but her foremost priority was to be a wonderful mother to her daughters – and she accomplished this goal in every way.
Megan is reunited with her mother, Maureen (Adams) Powell. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Michael; her loving daughters Bella and Evie; her father David Powell, and his wife, Edi; her sisters Ann (Powell) Popa and Ellie Powell; as well as many wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service to celebrate Megan’s life will be held at Radiant Bible Church, 420 Gable Crossing Drive in Avon, Indiana, on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, Megan’s family requests that donations be made to:

My heart-felt condolences. Megan was a very gentle well-spoken lady with strong work ethic and a team player. I knew her during her work at IU health west, and she was well-liked and always willing to help in whatever way to serve her patients and help her team members. She will be missed. May God grant her family patience and guidance.
Megan was a beautiful soul. I worked with her at St. Vincent and she was always smiling! I will always remember her. She will be greatly missed by all. Rest in heaven sweet Megan.
