Michael Perkins, 49 of Waverly, passed away during the early morning hours on September 15, 2015 in Community Hospital South, Indianapolis. Mike was born December 15, 1965 in Indianapolis to the late Larry Roger Perkins and Judith D. “Judi” (Pearce) Satterthwaite; his mother survives.

A 1984 graduate of Mooresville High School, he enjoyed playing football during his high school years, but decided to go to work for Linel in Mooresville during his senior year. Mike worked as drafting engineer, but held many positions and titles during his 30 plus years at Linel; he also attended Indiana State University. On July 28, 1990 Mike married his loving wife, Lucinda “Cindy” (Richards) Perkins; she survives. He attended Cornerstone Church in Trafalgar, Indiana. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a member of the National Rifle Association.

Mike is survived by his two sons and hunting buddies, Michael Brandon Perkins and Nicholas Cameron Perkins both of Waverly. Other survivors include his Step-Father, Robert D. Satterthwaite of Mooresville; brother, Daniel Solomon Perkins of Greenwood, and two sisters, Diana Lynn Justus of Mooresville and Kimberly Ann Pennington (Husband: Dewayne) of Mooresville; two brothers-in-law, Tom Richards (Wife: Zenia) and Steve Richards (Wife: Kim); many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Family and friends will gather for visitation in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville on Sunday, Sept. 20 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21 at Cornerstone Church, 1000 W. 375 S., Trafalgar, Indiana; Pastor Brian Butler will officiate.   1. I can tell you that Mike was a joy to work with at Linel. I know I was blessed to know and work with Mike. He was always caring, thoughtful, loyal and proud to work with at Linel. I know that at times he was struggling with his health but he was always uplifting and positive. I can tell you that he was inspiring to us and such a great example.
