Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Aunt Lorena and family,
I am so sorry for your loss! Although it has been many, many years I remember her as such a sweet and lovely person-talented and so dedicated in everything she did and believed in! She is singing with the angels! You are in our thoughts and prayers.

    Love you!
    Gayle Flick and family

  2. She made the best chicken and dumplings ever! I’ll never forget the persimmon cookies with black walnuts. Loved her pepper jelly, strawberry jelly and vegetable soup. Her mint tea would numb your mouth, so good. She always made sure the grand kids were stuffed with goodies. I remember one Christmas when she made my cousin Terry and I vests. We looked so cool! I remember stringing green beans with her. I remember playing Skip-Bo with Grandma and Grandpa. But most of all, I remember how she would blow us kisses when we left. Always in my thoughts and prayers Grandma. Love you!

  3. So many memories….always lots of yummy food, sleep overs, many holidays packed around the dinner table. The garden was always amazing, anytime I have a real summer fresh tomato it is always compared to grandma and grandpas, theirs were always best. Hours of card games, hand and foot was a favorite. We still play today. Christmas time was a treat, we couldn’t wait to open up the box she would send us, it would have her strawberry jam in it. I loved to hear her sing and play the piano. She surprised me by coming to my high school graduation in Alaska. These sweet memories I will hold close to my heart forever. I love you grandma….until we meet again.

  4. Grandma always loved singing and playing the piano. She could make the rafters ring with her voice. She loved teaching her grandkids music, and it didn’t take her long to learn to play any song she wanted to. Grandma had a talent for speaking very plainly. She didn’t hide her opinions if she thought someone needed advice, but everything she said was done so lovingly. She was an inventor, a great cook, and a superb seamstress. Our hearts are broken, but our love for her is still going strong.

  5. Grandma was such a talented lady. The love & devotion she had for Christ and her family kept her smiling & loving life. Such a smart, fun loving & very opinionated soul. Loved to sit next to her while she sang & played the piano. Always trying to teach her loved ones something. I miss our many talks and how her face would light up whenever she saw any of us. None of us went without Grandmas fabulous foods. I especially miss her vegetable soup, biscuits & gravy, persimmon goodies, the list is so long. All of the Christmas Eves & Easters we spent at Grandma & Grandpas were all so special. All of the wonderful memories will forever stay with me. It brings comfort to my soul to know that she is walking with our Savior & one day we will see Grandma again ߒœ
