Pattie Lou Patrum

May 20, 1933 ~ February 27, 2024
On February 27, 2024, the Lord called home Pattie Lou Jaggers Patrum, 90, of Stillesville, IN. Born on May 20, 1933 prematurely, she spent several months in the care of Riley Hospital. She is the daughter of Alonzo King Jaggers and Susan Alice (Tandy) Jaggers. She attended Monrovia High School graduating in 1952, raised her family in Mooresville, retired from Eli Lilly in 1998, and moved to Stillesville.
Pattie was a devoted and loving wife to Norman Patrum who she married on September 26, 1953. She was an amazing mother to Susan Keeton, Debbie Myers, Pam Harris and Tess Mallery. A true role model, she always did the right things in life. She was a faithful Christian and touched many others with her extraordinary kindness, thoughtfulness, and guidance. She was a member and Sunday School teacher at the Eminence Baptist Church. Pattie was a Girl Scout leader, bookkeeper, and licensed practical nurse along with being the Monrovia Alumni secretary for many years. She enjoyed flying with her husband and was a member of Ercoupe Owner’s Club. While Pattie did not have a pilot’s license, it was important to her to learn enough to be able to safely land the aircraft if an emergency were to arise.
She is survived by her husband, Norman Patrum of Stillesville; daughters, Susan (husband, Ron) Keeton of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Debra Myers of Indianapolis, Pamela Harris of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Tess (husband, John) Mallery of Trafalgar; sister Phyllis Williams of Florida; grandchildren, Heather (husband, Patrick) Hurt, Jared Keeton, Cassandra (husband, Mitch) Trimble, Garrick (wife, Sarah) Mallery, Joel (wife, Kate) Myers, Drew (fiancé, Erica) Myers, Katie (husband, Tyler) Ratlieff, and Susan Harris; great grandchildren, Dylan, Ava, Jackson, Grant, Kylie, Harper, and Magnolia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Susan (Tandy) Jaggers; brother, Alonzo King Jaggers Jr.; sisters, Barbara Schrader, Joyce Shrake, and Sue DeBruler; and son-in-law, Eric Myers.
She lived by God’s word and loved Church, family, baking from scratch, gardening, pets, playing cards, and a very occasional slot machine turn. This quiet, selfless lady will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, Mother Goose.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. A service celebrating Pattie’s life will immediately follow, beginning at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Mooresville Cemetery following the service.
The family would like to express heartfelt appreciation to Tonya Hurst and the caregivers at the Franciscan Hospice House for their loving care. Also, Norman and the children would like to thank Bob and Trisha Russell for all their love and support.
Contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Franciscan Hospice House or the Eminence Baptist Church in Pattie’s memory.

My favorite memories were the many midnight road trips to Plainfield Waffle House Tess and I took with Pattie after she got off working her nursing night shift. What a great role model and servant leader.
Friend of the family for many years and attend Monrovia with all of the children. Pattie was a go-getter and will be greatly missed.
Sending hugs and prayers to the Patrum family. Pattie was always so kind and has a place in my heart. Such a kind person.
I worked with Pattie at the Lilly Clinic. She was a great nurse and co-worker. Patty had the most infectious laugh. Prayers of peace for her family and friends
Patti was a true blessing to me. I use to second guess my role as a caregiver but every day she would thank me for taking care of her . I will miss sitting in the sunroom listening to music or eating popcorn while we watched an old Shirley Temple movie . Most of all I will miss making her feel beautiful and loved .

So sorry, losing a mom is heartbreaking. Prayers for all of you 🙏🏿
Sending love to your family and extr hugs to your great dad. Your mom was a great sport to host a barn full of pre-teens at Halloween. I have never forgotten bobbing for apples and all the happy memories we made. May God bless you all and may the joy of her well-lived life bring you comfort. It’s always sad to lose such a special part of our beautiful town.
