Paul A. Brewer, age 87, of Mooresville, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013. Born February 18, 1926, in Covington, IN, he was the son of the late Robert and Ruth (DeAth) Brewer. His wife, Helen Jean (Haught) Brewer and step-mother, Ruby Brewer also preceded him in death.
Paul retired from Indianapolis Power & Light as a shift supervisor in 1988 with over 30 years of service. He was an army veteran of World War II, the Japan Occupation, and Korean War. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, VFW of Mooresville Post 1111, and a 50 year member of the Mooresville Lodge# 78 F&AM.
Survivors include his daughters, Paula J. (Kent) Freeman and Susan A. (Jerome) Witte; his half-brother, Charles Brewer; his grandchildren: Allen L. (Lisa) Young, Sarah (Andrew) Finney, Rachel (Jerry) Reecer, Jessica (Joey) White; and his four great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the White Lick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church. You may share a memory with the family or sign the guest book at www.carlislebranson.com

  1. Paula and Susie, So sorry, I remember your dad as quietly strong. I pray that you will find comfort in each other and your extended family during this time.

  2. Growing up with the Brewer family much time was spent with Paul and what I considered my second mother, Jean. I am so sorry to hear of Paul’s passing and am sorry that I may not make it to the graveside service but will try. My thoughts are with all of you during this time.
