This is a continuation of the post–every co-worker enjoyed working with Paul. He worked hard and knew how to laugh while doing tasks. He will be sorely missed. There were tears shed when we found out at shift time today. We all were looking forward to activities of the school year. It saddens us that he is no longer with us.

To the family of Paul Newcomer, I worked with Paul for many years at school 43. I had students with cognitive disabilites. My students loved going to art with Mr. Newcomer. He was always wonderful with my students. He gave them great opportunites to participate with various mediums. Paul showed compassion and dignity toward the students and did a great job sharing his talents. Marleen Signer
thank you for sharing marlene, it means a lot
To the family of Paul Newcomer: Paul had planned to teach pottery classes at Gallery on the Square in Danville, and had brought two lovely, large pieces to be shown as examples of his work. The Gallery is at 51 South Washington Street, next to the Royal Theatre. If any family member would like to pick these up and have them as a loving memory of his work, please stop by. Our hours are Tuesday/Wednesday, 10 – 2, Thurs/Fri/Sat 10 – 6, and closed Monday-Tuesday. Or perhaps you would want to take them to the Plainfield library where they can be on display.
thank you so much, ill be in contact with you soon
i’d like to see these pieces, then decide between my brother and I what the proper place should be for them, thank you for the suggestion of taking them to the plainfield library, we will most definitely take this into consideration.
thank you to everyone sending out condolences, i apologize if i cannot respond to them all, my father was an amazing man who touched so many peoples lives. nothing will be the same without him.
It is with great sadness that I could not be there with the Newcomer Family. Circumstances prevented from attending as I had to be in Miami, FL for the beginning of school. Paul was very quiet and reserved even when I coached him, but one quality he had while on the mat (and in life) he had heart. He was one I could count on. Paul was at one of our Wrestling Alumni Picnic’s at O’Dell’s and I the pleasure of talking with him. Humble as ever, we had a great talk. My prayers are with all of you. Randy Qualitza
thank you so much.
Dave, I’m so sorry for your and your family’s loss. It must be a terrible shock. I am sorry I didn’t hear of this sooner, but please know that my prayers and best wishes are with you and your family. John Thomas
