Guestbook

  1. Ray was a wonderful, intelligent, generous, & kind man whom Tony & I will miss dearly!😉. He & Judy were an integral part of our Mt. Gilead breakfast group who would gather at Morgan’s almost every Sunday after first service. We extend our deepest sympathy & love to Judy & family. “Friends are friends forever, if The Lord is Lord of them. And a friend will not say never cause the welcome never ends. “ By Michael W. Smith.

  2. My first wonderful memories as a child were being on my grandparents’ farm in Franklin, KY with my uncle Sandy (Ray Young). He was my favorite person, and the farm was our favorite place. Sandy and I spent much precious time on the farm. He always did something fun, like taking me for rides on the tractor and letting me drive or pulling the hay wagon and letting me ride on it, fishing for bream in the pond on the backside, and taking me to the Frosty Freeze in town for orange slushies. He always wanted to drive by his workplace, Citizens Gas when we went to town. Sandy would put a lead on his Jersey, Petunia, or the plow mule, Rose Horse, and let me ride as he led them around. Everything with him was fun! He has remained a special person in my life all these 70 years. Unfortunately, time and distance separated us physically, but our hearts were always close. Recently, he and my Aunt Judy bought me a beautiful purebred puppy after my dog died. That’s the person he was, kind, loving, thoughtful, handsome, strong and wise. He never forgot my birthday and stayed in touch by phone. My mother, Sandy’s sister, Flora Jo, died just a few weeks before Sandy. He is deeply missed and deeply loved, there will never be anyone else like him, my precious Sandy.

  3. I’ve known Ray for many years while working at CG. Judy loved him with her whole heart. Prayers for comfort as his family begins a new normal. 🙏🙏🙏

  4. Sandy and my mother (Marian) were cousins. They told wonderful stories about their childhood and wonderful memories of their grandparents. Sandy was such a special person. He will truly be missed.

  5. Judy, so sorry for your loss. Have many fond memories of knowing and working with you and Ray at Citizens. Lifting many prayers for God to hold you and family close in HIS loving, comforting arms and to fill you with HIS PEACE. May all your precious memories keep Ray forever alive in your hearts.

  6. So sorry to here about Ray passing knew him and Julie before they were even married. Ray was a really nice guy. Many good memories 😌 Susie Dean from Citizens Gas

  7. Judy, I just heard about Ray’s passing. When I was volunteering mowing the lawn at Mt. Gilead church, Ray was the man in charge during some of the time I volunteered. He taught me how to handle the big riding mowers the church has. I remember him as being a very kind man.
Judy, very sorry for losing one of your best friends!!

  8. Judy, you and Ray were a pair-together you radiated true kindness that was felt by everyone around you. May your lifetime of sweet memories fill your soul as you bravely face the journey ahead.
