Rheada Jo Randall

August 20, 1955 ~ January 16, 2024
Rheada Jo Randall, 68, a Danville resident, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 in the peaceful setting of The Gathering Together Hospice in Plainfield. She graduated with the class of 1973 from Cascade High School in Clayton. She worked for Ascena Retail Group retiring with over 24 years of service.
Her greatest joy in life was her family. Her favorite people called her “Gram” as she greatly enjoyed being an exceptionally loving grandmother. She also enjoyed caring for her home and property. Additionally, she loved music and reading. She especially enjoyed the Jack Reacher novel series by author, Lee Child.
Rheada will be deeply missed by her family and friends including her daughter, Lori (husband, James) Malone of Cloverdale; and two grandchildren, Ave Malone and Remi Malone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bassie and Mary; and her son, Troy Randall, who she lost 17 years ago with great great sorrow. The family finds comfort in knowing she is now with him in heaven.
In keeping with Rheada’s wishes, her earthly remains have been cremated. The family is planning to host a celebration of life at a later date. Carlilse-Branson Funeral Service and Crematory in Mooresville has been entrusted with the arrangements.

The Cline Family is so saddened by this!! You will be missed greatly, we love you.
Aunt Cricket gave me the love of horses at a very young age and taught me to ride. I can see her in heaven riding Blaze and one day we will get to ride together again.
Aunt cricket will be missed by so many . She was so loving to all she came in contact with ! I will miss having our long conversations at the reunions and hanging by her pond with her ! Sending all our family big hugs during this time especially Lori ! Love you
I played softball with “Cricket” as we called her back then. She was a spunky gal. She always had that big smile on her face and would light up the room. RIP my friend/ cuz you will be so missed. Love ya!
I lost my little sister and my friend. Cricket was my traveling buddy and we spent many hours just floating around in the pond. My heart aches to lose her so soon. I miss you Cricket.
The bonds we have are everlasting. Your love and understanding are a gift in my life, but there are times when you know that all I need is a hug.
My Aunt Cricket taught me how to play cards, mow grass, take care of a pond, lose at badminton, and to enjoy the morning calm on the back porch before everyone else wakes up. But with her big laugh, and even bigger personality, what she really taught me was how to be always be the most authentic version of myself. She was the best example that the people who truly love you will always support you, and everyone else… they’ll get over it. I’ll always miss that laugh- for me it’s the sound of childhood summer vacation- and the best part is, I’ll get to hear it again someday.
So sorry to hear about you Rheata! So glad your no longer suffering even though it wasn’t long as far as I know! Miss working with you!
So sorry to hear about the loss of Rheada, I worked with you at Ascena, I know you loved working around your home and pond. Glad you’re suffering is over. RIP!

Rita you will be sadly miss,I can see you hugging God and his son and your son.
One of the best to work with love her dearly
My heart is heavy. To her family, my deepest and sincerest condolences. I had the honor & privilege of working with Rheada at Ascena in the QA Department. She had an ever-present smile and an infectious laugh, a great sense of humor and quick-witted. She put on a big front at times but she actually had a big heart and was sentimental. She had a work ethic that was above and beyond. You will be greatly missed, my friend.
Rheada was a fun and genuine soul. Loved by those of us who worked with her. I know she enjoyed her home and grandkids. RIH
