Richard N. “Red” Crist, 88, Mooresville passed away October 10, 2021. Mr. Crist was born March 8, 1933, in Indianapolis, to the late Hurley John and Hester Maude (Edwards) Crist.

He proudly served in the United States Army 73rd Tank Battalion during the Korean War. Richard worked for American Airlines for 42 years in fleet services, retiring in 1996. He was an avid Colts, Pacers and NASCAR fan. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 103. Richard also enjoyed boating and camping with his family – making many wonderful memories through the years. Above all, he was strongly devoted to his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia A. Crist-Jennings; siblings, John Crist, Thelma Kesler, Gletha Gibbs, and Myrna Mackey.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Linda (Wines) Crist; son, Timothy L. Crist; daughter Sherri L. (Phillip) Tapp; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
