Roger Ray Denk
61, of Mooresville passed away at home on September 5, 2025. Roger was born on December 25, 1963 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Robert J. Denk, Jr. and Elizabeth (Buchanan) Denk, who survives.

Roger was a talented mechanic who could fix just about anything. A racer at heart, he enjoyed following NASCAR and raced his own Street Stock car at Paragon. He will be remembered as a jokester, always playing practical jokes on those, he loved as well as his kind heart, always willing to help anyone in need.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by brothers Robert J. Denk, III and John Ray Denk.
He is survived by his wife Myra (Ridner) Denk; sons Joshua Denk, Christopher Denk; mother Elizabeth Denk; sister Sylvia Harlow; brother Rodney Denk, and Uncle Jimmy Buchanan.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Roger’s life privately at a later date.

  1. I send my condolences. I did not know Roger but I could tell from the story of his life that he was a good man. I was often taken to the races at Paragon when I was a young boy by my Dad and I’m sure he loved it there. God bless all of you in this difficult time.
