Ron Brown

Ron Brown, 84, Martinsville, former owner of Printech Printing, died unexpectedly of Covid-19 December 27, 2021. Ron was born near Pekin, Indiana, to the late James and Cletis (Stewart) Brown. He married Jan (Mull) Brown on September 26, 1958, and she survives.

Ron graduated from Pekin High School in 1956. He enjoyed a successful career in the printing industry. Ron was co-owner, along with Jan, of Printech Printing, which they started in 1984. He was a member of River Valley Christian Church and a former member of the Mooresville Kiwanis Club. He was also named Kiwanian of the Year on two occasions. Ron enjoyed fishing and working outside, spending time on his Kubota. A hard working man, Ron was exceptionally devoted to his family and quietly taught great values to his loved ones by always setting a good example. Ron will be fondly remembered by a loving family, many friends, and loyal customers.

Ron was preceded in death by his son who also worked at Printech, Troy (Bonnie) Brown and one brother, Paul Brown.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Jan Brown; children, Rick (Mary Beth) Brown and Lesa (Chris) McCartney; brother, Russell (Sonnja) Brown; sister, Janet (Jim) Deich; three grandchildren, Greyson McCartney, Conor and Caitlin Brown.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 30, 2021, 10 am to 12 Noon, at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Services will follow at 12 p.m., with burial at the Mooresville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
