Sharon Ann Daugherty, 70, of Bargersville, passed away March 20, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born April 24, 1946 in Indianapolis, Sharon was the daughter of Gilbert and Mary Francis (McAvoy) Poynter; her parents preceded her in death. On June 19, 1965 she was united in marriage to her loving husband, David F. Daugherty; he preceded her in death on October 14, 2014.

Sharon was a loving and caring homemaker for many years while she was raising her family; she later worked as a caregiver at in the daycare at Mt. Auburn United Methodist Church in Greenwood for over 20 years. She was a member of the First Free Methodist Church in Indianapolis. In her spare time, Sharon enjoyed crafting and bowling in her younger years. A loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Sharon’s memory will be forever cherished by her family and a host of friends.

Survivors include her two daughters, Dawn R. (Billy) Hunt of Martinsville, and Dee A. Boner of Bargersville; her son, David M. Daugherty of Greenwood; sister, Nancy J. (Jerry) Lawrence of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Courtney, Ashley, Brittany, Kaitlyn, Michael, Jackson, Whitney, and Isabella; and five great grandchildren, Dakota, Bristol, Emery, Shiloh, and Rowyn.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Sharon Ann Daugherty on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at New Life Wesleyan Church, Mooresville. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Waverly.
