January 18, 1969 ~ January 28, 2018

Sheila A. Smith, 49, Mooresville, passed away January 28, 2018. Sheila was born January 18, 1969, in Greensburg, to Kenneth and Patti (Tilley) Myers, who survive.

Sheila graduated from Carmel High School in 1987 and continued her education when she graduated from the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma. A hard working lady, Sheila had been employed at Fed Ex for 19 years, most recently at the common courier desk. She had also been a ramp agent and courier through the years. Sheila was a bus driver for ten years for the Carmel Clay School Corp. While living in Chickasha, Oklahoma, she was a proud and active member of the Elks Lodge.

Sheila’s greatest hobby was her family. She was the one who made the house a home. She was a very active and integral part of her grandsons’ lives. She would give the shirt off of her back to help others – generous to a fault. Sheila’s quick wit, generosity, and caring ways will be fondly remembered by her loving family and many friends.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Smith; parents, Kenneth and Patti Myers of Carmel; daughter, Heather Griffin of Mooresville; stepsons, Nathaniel (Sarah) Smith of Indianapolis and Matthew (Nicole) Smith of Colorado Springs; brothers, Timothy (Shelley) Myers of Lexington, Terry (Laura) Myers of Cincinnati, and Tom (Holly) Myers of Carmel; grandsons, Andre Ball, Alexavier Griffin, Aydrien Griffin, Graham Smith, and Owen Smith.

Friends and family will gather from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2018, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Cremation will follow services at the Morgan County Crematory, Mooresville. Memorial contributions may be made the Morgan County Humane Society.
