Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Stan, you are remembered fondly every time I tell the story about “visiting” the Hazard Kentucky jail! You were awesome and your work with our youth group meant so much to me! I still don’t listen very well! Janet and family, may your memories bring you joy and ease your sorrow. Love, Dawn Walker Seyerle ❤️

  2. I have many fond memories of Stan taking me on and leading Lay Witness weekend mission trips while in high school around 2007-2009. His youthful energy was so infectious that I always joked I had no idea how old he was. I still remember his intentionally long handshakes and long winded stories (which often included trains!). And I still remember his lessons for the youth–especially how he explained so well that we will all have either 1 birth and 2 deaths or 1 death and 2 births, the second being in Christ. What a special soul that I will not forget. Stan’s friendship was a blessing from God.

  3. Stan Da Man!! I was blessed to serve alongside Stan on several Missions with the IMMHG. He was a joy to chat with and a wealth of knowledge! We shared a fondness for trains, and I will miss our chats. I worked the Ground Crew for his Honor Flight in September of 2022. Rest easy Brother! You’re now safe in the arms of Jesus!

  4. Sorry to hear of Stans passing – he was one of my scoutmasters in Troop 30 and in Heyokas/OrderOfTheArrow as well as a neighbor at Lake Bodonna…….prayers for Jan, Ron, John, and Gerry

  5. Stanley was the little boy who lived up the street in Mooresville who my sister and I played with occasionally. His big sister, Marcia, was our babysitter who read to us books she had brought with her. Stanley was a very nice boy who grew up to be a very respected man. I’m sorry for your loss of this fine man.

  6. As I sit here, trying to think of the words to explain how much you meant to someone that didn’t have very many family members you were like family to me you got me my first job. He didn’t downgrade me when I had my baby at such a young age.. you were Mr. E stand D man. you held all of my children.. you weren’t just amazing teacher. You were an amazing friend.. the world has lost such a signing light. My thoughts and prayers go out to your children and your wife. I will always be proud to say that you were an awesome amazing friend.. thank you for your views on life and believing in me. Thank you for having such a pure heart and caring for so many of us.. until we meet again. I hope there’s some old trains in heaven, even a gold one on the streets of gold.. 7. Mr.E (as I Called you) you will truly be missed by so many. He was a mentor to me when I got pregnant my junior year he never said a mean word to me instead he encouraged me to come back to school and finish school. And thanks to him. That is exactly what I did. Thank you for being there in a time that was needed. God has definitely gained an angel RIH!! ✝️✝️✝️🙏🙏🙏😢

  8. IT WAS A PRIVILEDGE TO SERVE WITH STAN ON THE MOORESVILLE FIRE DEPT, STAN SERVED WELL AND HAD A GREAT PERSONALITY.

  9. An inspiration to me and a man who showed others how to love as Christ did. He set me on my path with the USCG that certainly shifted the trajectory of my life. I thank him for his son Gerry, who instilled in me the levels of fortitude, competitiveness, and self confidence necessary to execute on that path.

  10. It was either my junior or senior year, so 1997 or 1998, I remember going on a youth retreat with Mr. E. It’s one of my favorite memories because we went splunking on this trip.

I was the smallest person, and it was decided I was going to go first. I remember there was an albino bat, and I didn’t see it until I was almost right up on it. I hit my head pretty hard when I noticed it (was a tight fit to begin with).

He will be greatly missed. I’m blessed enough to have known this sweet, kind man. My thought and prayers go out to his family.

  11. Stan my friend. I am so sorry to hear that your life’s journey is over. You were always there to support and help others. Sending prayers to your family. Haven gained a great man . You will be missed by many. Your friend Bill . 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

  12. Stan da Man was the most welcoming person I have ever known. He will always be remembered for wearing his many crazy hats! My family and Stan’s had dinners on Tuesdays at Fazolis that started out as we should have dinner together that ended up going on for years. Stan was always the storyteller whether it was about education, trains, the Coast Guard, IU or doing a magic trick for the kids he always had a story to share. We had many good times with Stan from train shows, so many events at Lucas Oil Stadium where he worked, to Florida. We will never forget the amazing 4th of July Firework shows that Stan and family (John, the pyrotechnic guy along with Ron and Gerry) always put in days of work to put on an amazing show for anyone that wanted to sit around the lake to watch. Stan’s wife Jan always made ice cream for after the show. What great memories! From the Morris Family Kevin, Mary, Brittany, Kaylee, Cody, Stanley, Nancy and Kristy to our adopted family the Emerson’s Jan, Gerry, Andrea, Brenna, Bailey, Ron and John. Rest in peace Stan until we meet again!

  13. You were a great teacher, mentor and friend you will be missed but not forgotten. It was an honor to have in our lives
