Terry Lee Powell
77, of Martinsville, passed away on July 6, 2025. Terry was born on July 10, 1947 in Martinsville, Indiana to the late George F. and Betty Jane (Rhodes) Powell.

A lifelong resident of Morgan County, Terry was a graduate of Monrovia High School. He then went on to have a long and successful career as a truck driver for Yellow Freight. Terry enjoyed playing the guitar and singing alongside his wife Mona in the Famous Front Porch Pickers for many years. Additionally, he enjoyed fishing, camping, following NASCAR racing and tinkering around in his garage on cars and lawnmowers. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time in Sun City Center, Florida enjoying the peaceful and relaxing lifestyle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mona Jean Powell, stepson Anthony Russell; brothers Marty Powell, and Kevin Powell.

He is survived by his daughters Marci (Matt) Stephens, Chrissi Powell, Mandi Matos; stepson Bobby Crowder, stepdaughter Sherry (Greg) Russell; brothers Tim Powell, Danny Powell; sister Trina Parks; grandchildren Brandon S., Summer, Evan, Austin, Devon, Brandon M., Haleigh, Emelia, Eliza and great grandchildren Braydon, Elianna, Josiah, Avery, Parker, Brynn, Luke, Emerson and Zavior.

In keeping with his wishes, Terry will be cremated, and his family and friends will gather to celebrate Terry’s life privately.
