Toby Lee Dolen of Mooresville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at Majestic Care in Avon. Born in Indianapolis on May 19, 1944, to Al and Effie Dolen, Toby was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I remember Toby not wanting to share his Superman comic books with me. He had hidden them in his room upstairs. He was one of my older cousins & I’m sure he had his reasons! Our parents always celebrated Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years together. I just hope he saved those comics! I’m sending light & love to his family & loved ones! Rest in peace Toby!

  2. Toby was my cousin and I remember all the Thanksgivings, 4th of July’s, and fun times growing up together. Used his body shop a few times and always was a professional job. I moved to Morgan County years later and we would call each other to see who found the most mushrooms!! Condolences to Jill and Kitty and the family.

  3. Toby was a wonderful man with a wealth of knowledge and experience. I loved hearing his stories and learning new things from them. God Bless you Toby. I know you are in good hands.

  9. My name is Betsy, I’m Toby’s cousin. I remember great Thanksgivings at Toby’s with great food and homemade ice cream. I always took my car to Toby’s body shop. The work was top notch. We did communicate on FB some. Time goes by so fast and I’m sorry it has been so long since we talked. My prayers go out to the family and Crissy. May God shine His face upon you all. Rest in peace Toby.

  10. Sorry for the family’s loss. I have a lot of memories from childhood with Toby, Laraine, Al , and Effie. Kind of funny that when we were still in school, Toby used to say he couldn’t wait to leave Mooresville. Just a few years later he was on the Mooresville city council. I know he loved his family and wanted the best for them.

    • Toby was a regular customer at my window at Citizens Bank in Mooresville. We always had a friendly raport. I was very happy when he became one of my regular early voters. I will miss having him come in to vote. I wish the best for his wife and family.
