Trudy Ellen Wrightsman

Trudy Ellen Wrightsman, 78, of Mooresville, passed away from this life on June 20, 2020 after losing her battle Acute Myeloid Leukemia. She was born January 24, 1942, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to the late Herschel Davis and Ardis Lavonne (Duncan) Larson.

She was a 1960 graduate of Mooresville High School and enjoyed getting together with the ‘60’s Chick monthly for lunch. Trudy attended the Camby Community Church where she loved singing in the choir until her illness prevented her from doing so. She looked forward to the Tuesday lunches with several ladies from the church who called themselves the “Tuesday Lunch Bunch”. She was also an avid bowler and bowled on two senior leagues. She was secretary and treasurer to both bowling leagues. Her illness also prevented her from continuing this pastime. She also enjoyed crocheting and making things for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her real love was spending time with her family and looking forward to the holiday dinners with everyone.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Neil Larsen; and infant sister, Connie Lea Davis.

Survivors include her loving husband of 32 years, Jack; sons, Terry (LouAnn) Outcalt and Mark (Dottie) Outcalt; daughter, Theresa (Roy) Hedeen; three bonus daughters, Dawn (Brendan) Broadstreet, Dotty (Johnny) Moore and Cathy (Timmy) Taylor; grandchildren, Marissa Bushnell, Kyleigh Danyel (Matt) Meinsen, Cody Outcalt, Stephen (Jessica) Outcalt, Estee' (Sean) Denbo, Jessica Taylor, Hannah (Justin) Long, Cheyenne Outcalt, Ashley (Ricky) Dickey, McKynse Shadle, Aaliyah Broadstreet, and Jacklynn Moore; step – grandson, Garrett Hedeen; great grandchildren, Easton and Bodhi Meinsen; Catherine and Cash Bushnell; Addison and Carson Outcalt; Deven Shane; Kalilah Poore; a brother, Morris (Karen) Davis; half-sisters, Dr. Rene’ (Wally) Kronland and Debby (Charlie) Dodge; half-brothers, Mike (Lori) Davis and Steve (Charli) Davis .

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. The service will be on Thursday, June 25, 2020, 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services at White Lick Cemetery. While flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.   4. I never got to meet her in person, but knew of her recent health challenges through Roy and Tree. But just a couple of weeks ago I stumbled upon her inspirational church testimony on Facebook, and felt I’ve known her all my life. Our Lord prompted her to share her deep and abiding faith just when we needed it. Norma and I hope so many fond memories help ease the family’s sorrow.

From cooking on so many occasions, to being there whenever she was needed, Trudy led a life filled with loving and caring for others. Her presence will be sorely missed. Her legacy of making every day matter and caring for others selflessly will remain an inspiration for all of us that knew her.

  9. I’m so blessed to have had her in my life!! There will never be another like her!! Momma Trudy will be greatly missed but forever in our hearts!! I can just see her now … singing, dancing, and rejoicing in that heavenly choir!!! Love you so much my “bonus” mom!!!!
