Tyler Duane Day

27, of Camby, beloved son, brother, grandson and friend, passed away on June 17, 2023 at home. Tyler was born on May 21, 1996 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Todd Day and Laura (Rork) Day.

Those who knew Tyler, even just a little, lost someone who knew no strangers. Most will remember Tyler with his cowboy hat on and a smile on his face. Tyler was blessed with a great sense of humor, that provided his family and friends with never a dull moment whenever Tyler was around. He also had a big heart and always helped anyone in need. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his girlfriend, Britlyn.

He is survived by his mother Laura (Doug) Day, father Todd (Kelli) Day, brothers Jacob Day, Landon Day, Bowen Day; sister Bailey Day; grandparents Vicki (Mike Miller) Day, Sandra (James) Kloss, Bracken and Patty Rork, Robert Day; uncles Bracken (Megan) Rork, Bill (Donna) Day; girlfriend Britlyn Trent and many cousins, who will all miss him dearly.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Tyler’s life on Thursday, June 22nd from 5-7pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Additional visitation will be held on Friday, June 23rd from 11am-1pm. Services will be on Friday, June 23rd at 1pm in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery.

  1. I keep seeing toddler Tyler scrambling over my parent’s fence to jump into the pool with the boys- still in his cowboy boots. My heart aches for all of you.

  8. I worked with Tyler at Ollies in Mooresville. I was his “boss” as he called me, on nights there. Many, many times I had to tell him to turn his light back on, at whatever register he was assigned to that night. It soon became a joke between he and I.
    We also had a fun banter with each other as I would bag his customers purchases.
    RIP Tyler.
