Wanda Faye Allen, 85, Mooresville, passed away September 29, 2014. Mrs. Allen was born September 29, 1929, in Saffell, Arkansas, to the late Clarence Edgar and Myrtle A. (Huskey) Stuart.

Wanda worked for a period of time at Diamond Chain in Indianapolis. She was also a beautician for a few years at the Rose Room in Mooresville and worked at the family’s Dairy Queen. Wanda was a 50 year member of the Mooresville First Christian Church. She and her husband Don enjoyed traveling the country in their motorhome. Wanda was devoted to her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Allen, to whom she was united in marriage August 10, 1963; sons, Robert S. Allen (Jan) of Hampton, Virginia, Randall L. Allen (Jill) of Indianapolis, Russell A. Allen (Debbie) of Hampton, Virginia, and David M. Allen (Sara) of Plainfield; brother, Earl Stuart (Virginia) of Mooresville; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 4th, 2014, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there Friday, October 3, 2014, 4 to 8 p.m. Her cousin, Rev. Ed Panburn, will officiate the service. Burial will be in the White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.   1. My precious memories of Wanda are when the Allen’s and Thurston’s would get together and watch the Pioneers or the Hoosiers on TV. I’ll never forget those great timessage of friendship and laughter. I will be praying for Don, Dave and the rest of the family.

  5. I’m a cousin that married in & she has always treated me like family. She was so sweet & would just sit & talk to you. My fave memory was sitting at Incredible Pizza eating at a birthday party and just laughing with her & talking the whole time. Will def miss her!!!
