Willis D. Justus

Willis D. Justus, age 89, of Mooresville, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital, Mooresville. Born September 22, 1924 in Switz City, IN, he was the son of the late Cecil and Cressie (Fines) Justus. His brothers, Harley Justus and Cecil Justus, Jr., along with his sister, Jan Henico also preceded him in death.

Willis retired in 1991 from Indiana Farm Bureau CO-OP after 23 years as a superintendent. He was a member of Mt. Gilead Christian Church, a US Navy veteran and loved woodworking.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane (Miller) Justus; his children: Jeffrey (Tina) Justus, Bruce (Rhonda) Justus, Brian (Julie) Justus; his sister, Laura Fulk; his five grandchildren: Jeremy, Brenden, Breanna, Todd, Rachel; and his great grandson, Finnegan.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, with burial at White Lick Cemetery.   1. Sorry to hear about uncle Willis I always liked him and thought a lot of him. That’s why I named our son Jacob Willis Justus after him and when Jacob was in trouble we would holler ‘Willis straighten up’. I wonder if Mom Justus ever told Uncle Willis to straighten up.
