Marsha L. Hilton

Marsha L. Hilton, 65, of Mooresville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at her home. She was born in Martinsville on August 14, 1958, to the late Billy J. Hilton and Velma L. (Henry) Alger. Marsha attended Mooresville High School and graduated in the class of 1977. She furthered her education by receiving her Certified Nursing Assistant license at Mountain Valley in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. She worked as a CNA for over 35 years and most recently she was the director of transportation for Aspen Trace.

Marsha had a heart of gold. She never hesitated rescuing animals, whether a bird, goat, or a racoon. She loved riding her horses when she was younger, and especially loved her three fur babies, Sissy, Willow, and Gabby. Marsha thoroughly enjoyed her murder documentaries, horror movies, and Shark Week. She often spent time fishing, riding her Honda Shadow, and shooting guns. She had an adventurous soul and took up skydiving on her 50^th birthday. Marsha was truly one of a kind.

Marsha is survived by her partner of 27 years, Sara Watters; sisters, Sue (David) Peters, Jo Ann (Bill) Fishel; nephews, Jeremy (Ali) Copley, Josh (Jen) Blackburn; nieces, Michelle (Ryan) Lenz, Rachel Willis; as well as several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
