Thelma Bocock, 91, Martinsville, passed away February 20, 2016, in Grandview Health and Rehab. Miss Bocock was born January 12, 1925, in Lawrence County, to the late Virgil Ray and Leona Freed Bocock.

A very sweet and thoughtful lady, Thelma always carried the innocence of a young child through her life. She enjoyed music, coloring, and especially sewing doll clothes. She collected baby dolls and always made sure they were dressed in the clothes she made. While living in Madison, she was honored as the Senior Volunteer of the Year on more than one occasion. Thelma will be fondly remembered by her loving family.

One of twelve children, she was preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Bocock, Dorothy Bocock, Mary Mundy, Kathleen Hunsucker, Gladys Marie Pridemore; brothers, Thomas, Carl, and Gerald Bocock.

Survivors include one sister, Leah Bolin of Martinsville; brothers, Ray and Bob Bocock, both of Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends and family will gather from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, February 25, 2016, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Saltillo Cemetery, Saltillo, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Martinsville Senior Center.
