My beloved host mother, I spent less than 1 year with her in 2004 as an exchange student, but it was enough to know that she had a great and generous heart. Ill miss you. Love you, mom Mel.

So I tell my kids lots of stories from when I was growing up. My daughter went to Knotts Berry Farm with her choir class and she had so much fun told me all the rides she went on. I told her about how when my sister and I were kids Grandma took us there. We had so much fun. I have all these great memories and I am so happy that I do. I know that Grandma you will be missed and now you are at peace and rest. I am sorry I did not come to visit I love and miss you very much.
I will miss Melanie’s flair for elegance in everything she did. She had real gift for making others feel special and cared for. Rest in peace, my friend.
We will miss you. You were always loved.
I love you Grandma! You will be forever missed but never forgotten
