Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. So many memories…from shucking corn with you at 3 to going to Goodwill just a few years ago. So glad you taught me to make pies. I can see you spinning the pie pan right now. I can hear you laughing like you did when we would all gather around your big dinning room table to play canasta. I will think of you often and strive to become like you. You always smiled, even when faced with adversity. I will never doubt how much I can handle because you have taught me the human spirit can handle anything. You taught me that life is about helping others and that nothing is more important than family and God. I love you forever Mamaw Jean!

  2. You really can’t think of Monrovia without thinking of Jean and Dwight Hinshaw.. Dwight with his slow easy grin and Jean with her spit-fire ways..What a couple.! I remember when Dave Hadley and I became engaged they threw us a big wiener roast and hayride..always loved them both so much..RIP Jean and I know Dwights blue eyes are twinkleing once again….

  3. I have known Jean my entire life. I spend many days of my youth at her house. Her and Dwight always treated me like I was just another one of their kids. Love the woman. Rest in peace Jean. Mike Sutton

  4. I am so sorry to hear about Jean’s passing. She was always like a second mother to me and I spent almost as much time in her house as I did in my own growing up. I know she and Dwight both considered me as one of their own. I have such fond memories of both of them and still smile when I think about all the good times we shared over the years. I feel truly blessed to have been a part of their lives. The friendship that Donna and I have shared over the years, I feel, is truly remarkable. Thank you Hinshaw family.

  5. Jean , or meen jean as she was sometimes Known ,was mother to my best freind Judd. Spent a lot of time on the farm at the old place, she treated me like one of The family, and wouldn’t hesitate to set me strait , she was like my 2nd mom and I’ll never forget her .
