Adam M. Allman

Adam M. Allman, 44, Camby, passed away suddenly on January 30, 2022, just minutes after cheering his beloved Cincinnati Bengals onto a victory. Adam was born June 23, 1977, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Carol (McDonald) NeSmith and Bruce Allman, who survives.

Adam was a gifted and talented Licensed Mental Health Counselor. He worked at St. Vincent Stress Center for many years and most recently was the clinical director for New Day. Adam was an active member of Mt. Gilead Church, where he also served as the church’s counselor. He helped countless clients through the years deal with the challenges that life sometimes creates. Adam was a huge Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State fan. He enjoyed fishing with his sons and creating lasting memories on family trips to Destin, Florida. Adam will be remembered for his intelligence, adventurous spirit, servant’s heart, selflessness, and incredible love for his family, friends, clients, and neighbors.

Survivors include his wife and love of his life, Becky; sons, Josiah, Eli, and Ari; father, Bruce (Laurie) Allman; brothers, Aaron (Aaryn) Allman and Aric Allman; his beloved Kehrer relatives including his parents-in-law, Steve and Vicky and their sons, Ben (Jana) and Jon (April); a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins who were all incredibly dear to Adam.

Guestbook

  1. He was a sweet boy when we knew him and youth minster at our church, Elsmere Church of Christ. So sorry for your loss of Adam, Becky, and all your family.

  2. I recently graduated from IWU with a degree in addiction counseling. I did my practicum through New Day in which Adam was my supervisor. We did many mock interview sessions that we had to record and be critiqued. In every session we recorded Adam never let up, he kept his foot on the gas and made it as difficult as he could for me. My class instructor even commented on how my supervisor did not take it easy on me. To be honest I am truly grateful for the time that I was able to spend with Adam. I believe that his relentlessness in the mock sessions has made me a better person and better equipt as a counselor. Proverbs 27:17 As Iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

  3. Adam was an amazing, generous and kind-hearted person. When I was a freshman at Miamitown Church of Christ, Adam was a senior and assigned to be my big brother. He was to help and mentor me in that phase of my life. He was always so positive and I consider him my family. Though life had taken us our separate ways, hearing of his passing makes me heart grieve. Even as I write this, I’m crying. Adam, I’ll miss you.

  4. My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life. ~Psalm 119:50 We are all praying for Gods comfort in your sorrow.

  5. Becky, I’m so sorry for the loss of Adam, he was truly a blessing in so many peoples life but above all else he was so proud of you and your sons. Adam was always asking me about gardening and loved seeing my eyes light up. Adam taught me more about the Lord then any other person could and showed me how much the Lord really loved me and how to trust Him in all things. Becky you call and I’ll come❤

  6. Adam Allman will remain in our hearts forever. From your friends and former coworkers with our thoughts and prayers for his family and friends.

  7. We love you Becky and we are here for you and your boys forever!

  8. “Lord, be gracious to us; we long for You. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.” Isaiah 32:2 Grieving with you and praying for you day by day. We love you Becky, Josiah, Eli, & Ari. Craig & Becky Tenaglia

  9. Throughout my time at Mt. Gilead, from Bible Bowl to youth group, Adam always took the time to encourage me and my family. In my struggles, he brought in such light through listening and guidance and, in my victories, he constantly cheered me on. Prior to me leaving for my missions school, he and I spoke a while about my plans. He told me that he was praying for me and so excited to hear about my adventures when I returned. While I’m still away, I can’t wait to tell him all about it when I see him again. For us, the days are long but, for him, it will be only hours. Praying for you Becky, Josiah, Eli, and Ari, and love you all so much. “You are my hiding place; You will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance” ~ Psalms 32:7 From Gracie McKinney

  10. Dear Becky, Josiah, Eli, Ari and family. Our family is so very sorry for your great loss. We will miss Adam tremendously. Thank you all for welcoming us to the neighborhood and for helping us finally find a home. We are so blessed to befriend you.

  11. Adam and our son Corey wrestled together in high school. Becky and our youngest Cassandra were in same class. Carol and I many times sat together and then see each other in the community. We were so proud of our children. Carol was never a loss for words describing each Adam, Aaron a nd Aric. I pray that soon the pain in your hearts is healed. Love, Kaeser Families
