She earned an associate degree in business at Golden West College while working at the May Company. It took three and half years of night school and summer school to accomplish her degree but well worth it.
Eileen was a true patriot. She would always comment on the giant American flag waving in the breeze and how beautiful it was. She bought a PT Cruiser because it was made in America. Always looked for made in America.
Eileen’s passions included sewing, quilting and doll making. She sowed her own clothes, daughters matching Easter dresses, and clothes for her dolls. She had her own kiln and made several ceramic Cabbage Patch dolls as well as hand sewn dolls. Painting faces, attaching eye lashes, and winning many awards.
Eileen’s list of accomplishments is long, and many great memories shared never to be forgotten. A loyal, loving friend and family member. “Grandma” to so many, family or not. Most important of all was her love for a good party with her family, a fountain coke, and a delicious cheesecake. Many family events and she was always proud of us. She will truly be missed.
