Alice Louise (Stanley) Earles

Alice Louise (Stanley) Earles died on June 28, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis of heart problems. She was born in Plainfield, Indiana, on December 25, 1931, to Horton and Iva (Dailey) Stanley.

She attended Plainfield Elementary School and was a member of the Plainfield High School Class of 1949. She was preceded in death by three sisters Edith Swinney, Betty Johnson, and Anna Turner; and by two brothers Robert and Donald.

Alice married Paul J. Earles on September 25, 1948, who preceded her in death. She had eight children, all of whom survive her. They are Paul Michael Earles (Faith), Jack Randall Earles, Paula Gambill (Larry), Myrna Cooke, Dane Earles (Pamela), Kent Earles (Sherry), David Earles (Deneen), and Molly Brewer (Austin). She also is survived by a brother Harold Wayne Stanley and a sister Martha Lee Kellams. She had 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Alice did alterations for Ward’s Apparel for many years.

Alice was a member of the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed [country music, talking with friends, drawing and writing, and especially] being there for her family at all times.
