Alice M. Haymond

Alice M. Haymond, 83, Mooresville, died December 26, 2011, in the emergency room at St. Francis Hospital, Mooresville. Mrs. Haymond was born in Indianapolis on March 31, 1928, to the late Elmer and Mary (McIntyre) Jacobs.
She worked early on for Eli Lilly & Company and later as a cook for the Mooresville Junior High School. She was a devoted member of The Church at Mt. Gilead. Mrs. Haymond was an excellent cook and talented baker. She also enjoyed playing euchre at the Mooresville Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William James Haymond; brothers, Kenneth and Tom Jacobs; sisters, Margie Jenkins and Dorothy Cline.
Survivors include her sons, Mark Haymond (Janet) of Texas and Dave Haymond (Dawn) of Martinsville; daughter, Jeanie Inmon (Don) of Avon; sister, Betty Burdine of Monrovia; nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2011, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2011. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Glenns Valley. Memorial contributions may be made to The Church at Mt. Gilead. Alice was one sweet lady. She was a great companion to my brother Bill Braughton. I wrote to her in a Christmas card hoping to hear from her.She is in Gods hands now. God Bless the Family,you have my sympathy.
Alice your sweet personality will be forever remembered. Truly heartbroken to hear this news. You brought so much joy to my uncle Billy and he enjoyed your friendship tremendously and for that I am truly thankful for. My sincere condolences to family during this difficult time. God Bless you all.
