Allie Pauline Ragan

Allie Pauline Ragan, 84, Mooresville, died May 31, 2011, in St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. Mrs. Ragan was born April 17, 1927, in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, to the late Sevy and Daisy Golden.

Mrs. Ragan previously attended Gasburg Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Mooresville. She had worked early on at Smitherman Hatchery and Gray Brothers Cafeteria. She enjoyed gardening, caring for her flowers, raising children, and listening to country music, especially Loretta Lynn and Charley Pride.

She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Disney; brothers, Dan, Delmos, John, Willie, and Kay Golden; sisters, Lucy Casteel and Mary Capps.

Survivors include her husband, Charles R. Ragan of Mooresville; sons, Michael Lee Disney of Indianapolis, William Daniel Day of Indianapolis, and Alva Burl of Greenwood; daughters, Judy Marie Scholtes of Indianapolis, Peggy Lynne Disney Foley of Camby, Joyce Ann Thurman of Mooresville; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.

Pastor John Crump will officiate the 2 p.m. funeral service on Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Friends may call there from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2011. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.   1. We are sorry for the loss of your mother, grand-mother, your loved one. Allie what a cute name, in all the years I/we have known Pauline I/ we never relized she had the most wonderful cutest little first name nor did we know she was born in Tompkinsville Ky. this is our special place, where we were married 43 years ago this Sept. 5, 2011. there are a couple of memories that come to mind one is when all the children were real young and my mother and aunt was over helping to prepare for dinner…real chickens, yes the said their last words etc.and it was overl, It was my first experience to eat fresh chicken.. she sure knew what she was doing. Our other unusal memory was when she and Roger came off the dance floor and for some unknown he could not stop laughing and it continued to the point he had to go to Morgan Co. Memorial to get a shot to make him actually stop laughing. We all teased Pauline about this. I am sure you will miss her. Enjoy your memories I am sure she would want this!
