Amanda "Betty" Brock

Amanda 'Betty' Brock, 83, passed away February 1, 2013, in Hendricks Regional Hospital, Danville. She was born on April 17, 1929, in Hendricks County, to the late Henry and Sarah (Lawson) Burnett.
Betty will be missed by her loving family and many friends. She was a very strong and self-determined woman. An avid sports fan, Betty would always support the Hoosiers at Indiana University.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Johnny Brock; brothers, Robert and Chester Burnett; sisters, Kate Cottongim, Maudie Fouty, and Eva Mae Cheek.
Survivors include her two sons, Duane Brock (Marcia) of Brownsburg and Kevin Brock (Lisa) of Monrovia; brother, Troy Burnett of Eminence; sisters, Marie Boles of Mooresville, Nancy Smith of Florida, and Juanita Fishel of Clayton; grandchildren, Kevin Matthew Brock of Monrovia, Scott Brock of Mooresville, David Brock of Indianapolis, and Sean Brock of Brownsburg; one great grandson, Brennen Mitchell Brock.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2013, in the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2013. I remember getting to spend time with Betty when dad was sick, she was there for us and I am so sorry that we could not be there for her and her family when she needed us. I know that she had been a great help for our mom Phyllis since dad has been going. Mom said she will really miss the phone calls that she and Betty shared. If there is anything that our family can do, please call one of us and let us know, we would be more the glad to help in any way we can. We are so sorry for you loss.
