Amy Jo Stout

August 4, 1971 ~ December 16, 2023
Amy Jo Stout, 52, of Mooresville, left this life all too soon and suddenly on Saturday, December 16, 2023 due to injuries obtained from an automobile accident. She was born on August 4, 1971 in Indianapolis to Robert Lloyd Stillwell and Joy Jo (Shaw) Roberts.
She graduated from Mooresville High School with the class of 1989. She worked as a customer service manager for Zesco for 17 years. Most recently she was the care manager for Michelle Gillin in Mooresville. She married the love of her life, James “Jim” Stout, on July 31, 2016.
A natural caregiver, Amy spent her entire life caring for her family and those around her. A giving and generous soul, she enjoyed cooking for others and buying items for others. She greatly enjoyed her grandchildren. They will always remember the time she spent with them cooking, crafting, watching movies, playing games, working puzzles, playing dress up, and more. Additionally, Amy greatly enjoyed visiting her mother and Larry in Punta Gorda, Florida. She loved the beach and the pool. A true social butterfly, she never met a stranger and enjoyed connecting with others during her visits to Punta Gorda.
She leaves behind her host of loving family and friends who will miss her dearly including her husband, Jim Stout of Mooresville; father and step-mother, Robert and Jill Stillwell of Columbus; mother and step-father, Joy and Larry Roberts of Punta Gorda, Florida; children, Andy (wife, Paige) Kays of Indianapolis, Katie (husband, Justin) McIntosh of Monrovia, Cody (wife, Paige) Stout of Morgantown, and Jake Stout of Martinsville; brothers, Nick (wife, Joyce) Roberts of San Diego, California, Jarod Stillwell of Brownsburg, and Anthony (wife, Amy) Stillwell of Indianapolis; sister, Nicole (husband, Bill) Mills of Fishers; and beloved grandchildren, Blakelee Joy, Kolbi Mae, Presley Jean, and Warner Andrew.

Amy was a 5th grade student of mine at West Grove Elementary.
This truly saddens me to have her so young to be gone.
