Anna E. Wagner, 84, Mooresville, died April 19, 2011, in the emergency room at St. Francis Hospital, Mooresville. Mrs. Wagner was born September 20, 1926, Merom, Indiana, to the late Wes and Clara (Burton) Bates.
Mrs. Wagner graduated from Merom High School. She worked for 32 years in the office at Diamond Chain, retiring in 1981. She was a member of the Monrovia United Methodist Church and the Rebekah’s Lodge. She enjoyed making crafts and caring for her family.
Mrs. Wagner was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett J. Wagner; siblings, Edwin, Bob, Betty, and Bill.
Survivors include her son, Mike Wagner and his wife Karen of Mooresville; sister, Virginia Wilks of Sullivan; grandchildren, Brandon, Brayden, and Bailey.
Calling hours will not be observed. The service will be held privately in the chapel at Maple Hill Cemetery. Entombment will follow. Rev. Jack Elliott will officiate. We are so glad that we knew Anna. She loved us for who we were not for what we had, family name or how much money we had. Ann always made us feel welcome and part of the family. She will truly be missed.
