Barbara Marie Childers

Barbara Marie Childers, 75, Mooresville, died peacefully at home August 12, 2013. Mrs. Childers was born September 3, 1937, in Seymour, to the late Raymond and Anita (Voss) Spray.

She graduated from Seymour High School and had been employed at the Marion County Public Library. A devoted church member at Villa Baptist Church, Mrs. Childers had also been a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, gardening and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by one son, Paul A. Childers.

Survivors include her husband, Melburn Childers, to whom she was united in marriage September 15, 1956; children, Richard Childers, Cynthia Keith, Bryant W. Childers, and Angie Clark, all of Mooresville; brothers, Ronald Spray of Bloomington, Marshall Spray of Columbus, Steve Spray of Elizabethtown; sisters, Katherine Montgomery of Seymour and Patty Buster of Brownstown; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.

The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 16, 2013.
