Bobby J. Turpin, 82 of Plainfield passed away during the early morning hours on November 8, 2016 at Cumberland Trace in Plainfield. Bobby was born October 28, 1934 in Bedford, Indiana to Wayne L. and Lura (Nichelson) Turpin; his parents preceded him in death. On May 11, 1963 he was united in marriage to Betty Turpin and she survives.
He worked as a civil engineer for the State of Indiana for many years, retiring in 1995. After retirement, Bobby worked as a security guard for Securitas at Eli Lilly & Company.
Along with his wife Betty, other survivors include his son, Michael J. Turpin of Plainfield; his brother, Ralph Turpin of Bedford; and his sister, Wanda Ritchison of Indianapolis.
Memorial services for Bobby J. Turpin will be held privately and at a later date. Final care and cremation arrangements were entrusted to the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville.
