Bonnie Kay Beebe

Bonnie Kay Beebe
73, of Mooresville, passed away on April 28, 2021 at her home, surrounded by her family. Bonnie was born on November 24, 1947 in Monroe, Michigan to the late Idell (Karr) and Paul Trapp.

Bonnie loved all people, especially children. She had a unique ability to spot the best in children and encourage them to use their gifts to their fullest potential. She served as the Assistant Director of Children’s Park Day Care Center for over 30 years. Strong in her Faith, she was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Mooresville, where she served as a Bible Study Fellowship and Prayer Group Leader. She also was a 45-year member of Tri Kappa, where she served as the Scholarship Committee Chairperson.

However, the highlight of her year was hosting “Grandma Camp”. Each year, the grandchildren would gather at Bonnie and Joel’s home for one week, with just one rule, No Parents Allowed! This one on one time with the grandparents was cherished by the grandkids and grandparents alike, where they would enjoy tours of Lucas Oil Stadium, Fair Oaks Farm or simply playing board games, spending quality time together. She will be missed by a loving family and many friends.

She is survived by her husband Joel Beebe; children Byron (Susan) Beebe, Eric (Christianne) Beebe, Janelle (Jeff) Ledgerwood; sisters Pat Augustine, Margene Grisez; and her beloved grandkids Kaitlyn, Peyton, Amy Grace, Kara, Natalie, Cameron Beebe, Autumn, Karsyn Ledgerwood.

Friends and family will gather on Sunday, May 2nd from 2-6pm at the First United Methodist Church in Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 10am on Monday, May 3rd also at the church. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.

Walk with Jesus now Bonnie! Your work on earth is done.

  3. Dear sweet Beebe family! Your beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister etc. Was an angel on earth who cared and loved so deeply into the lives of others. She demonstrated the love of Jesus and was a woman that prayed over our family when our son Ben passed. We celebrate that she is in Heaven with God and Jesus and I know she has already given our sweet boy, Benjamin, a hug and kiss from his mama and papa on Earth. She was one of a kind and we are blessed to have known her. We’ll be praying for your family as you miss her in the coming days, weeks months and years! We love you Joel!

  9. Joel and family, my deepest sympathies on the loss of Bonnie. I had the good fortune to meet her through Tri Kappa and to call her friend. She had a wonderful heart and was a joy to be around. It’s my hope your fond memories will help carry you through your grief. Lisa Kirk

  10. Joel, Byron, Janelle and Eric – so many memories over the years when we were kids as Bonnie and Mom worked together at the daycare. I even babysat all of you. Then Joel was an amazing Literature teacher to me in high school. Years later, I got to catch up with Bonnie again when I joined Tri Kappa. She always had a smile and hug. When my husband got sick and passed away, she was so sweet with prayers, calls and cards. I will truly miss an amazing woman I was honored to call a friend. God has another Angel by his side.
Hugs and prayers to you all.

  11. Aunt Bonnie was always my Pepsi buddy. Nothing better than family bonding over a Pepsi!! I also loved her contagious, joyous laugh. Whenever I heard her laugh I started laughing too. I am going to use her Grandma Camp with my own grandchildren—first one scheduled next June. You will be missed Aunt Bonnie but always remembered. With much love, Beth (Ann)

  14. May God’s grace bring peace and comfort to your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

  15. Bonnie was such a great prayer warrior. She told me one time that on her way to Children’s Park every early morning she would pass my house on her way and she would always say a prayer for me and my family. I was probably sleeping at that time but that meant so much to me. She was so kind and thoughtful to do that. Prayer is the most that you can do for someone.

  16. Dear Joel and family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God give you comfort at this time. Our sincerest condolences, Randy and Karen Harmon

  17. So many happy memories with Bonnie while Savannah and Audrey were at Children’s Park. She was always such a happy, kind and positive person. Thinking of your family at this time and praying for strength and comfort.

  18. Aunt Bonnie will be missed dearly. She may be gone from this Earth, but will leave a lasting impact on those who loved her. She will always and forever be in our hearts.

  19. To my baby sister Bonnie. I will always remember all the good times we had together even though I was a little ornery when we were kids. You were always there for me whenever I needed you. You will be missed. Prayers to the whole Beebe family.

  20. I had no idea you had lost your precious Mom and wife! Her picture just popped up on my IPad this morning. Just remember how much I loved her and hold all of you Beebes’ in my heart! Sending love and prayers to you all! ♥️
