Brenda J. Dodgion

Brenda J. Dodgion, 74, of Indianapolis, passed away at home on November 3, 2022. Brenda was born in Covington, Kentucky to the late James & Juanita Hitch. Brenda lived in Port Richey, Florida for over 17 years before moving to Indianapolis. Brenda loved to collect clothing and blankets. She was a huge University of Kentucky Basketball fan and never met a stranger. She befriended everyone that would let her. While her children were growing up all of their friends referred to Brenda as “Mom”.


Brenda is survived by her daughters; Tonya (Troy) Butterbaugh and Pamela (Robert Hunter) Rosebery, along with 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.


Brenda is preceded in death by her loving husband; James Dodgion and her son; Daniel McCown.

You were the most compassionate, loving, caring and thoughtful friend. I will always love you sweetheart and I will miss you every single day. I will carry you in my heart always. You are now reunited with your hubby and son, happy and healthy which brings some comfort. To your loving daughter Pam and all your family I send you all my sincerest condolences and comforting prayers at the passing of your wonderful mum and grandma.
