Brian Nowlin, 49, Martinsville, died August 5, 2011, in Grandview Nursing Home.
Brian was born February 17, 1962, in Indianapolis. He graduated from Mooresville High School.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Erma and Jim Van Hoy of Mooresville; father and step-mother, Oakey Boyd and Janet M. Nowlin of Indianapolis; brother, Todd Nowlin (Rita) of Mooresville; step-brothers, Brian Van Hoy (Kristen) of Martinsville and Chris Stock of Indianapolis; half-brother, Keith Nowlin of Indianapolis; step-sister, Cindy Baker (Mike) of Monrovia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 10 a.m. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Indiana Chapter, 941 East 86th Street, #107, Indianapolis, IN 46240. So sorry to hear of Brian’s passing. I went all through school with him, beginning at Northwood Elementary. I remember him as a cute, fun, friendly kid. God’s peace to his family.
Erma, I remember when Brian was born and I was about 10. I use to sit with you on your porch and always had such a great time. Although 10, I felt like a grownup!. I am so sorry for your loss.
