Bryan E. Scott
55, of Mooresville, passed away on his birthday, August 27, 2022. Bryan was born on August 27, 1967 in Hendricks County, Indiana to Raymond “Tom” Scott and Patsy A. (King) Scott.
A lifelong Morgan County resident, Bryan grew up in Waverly and graduated from Mooresville High School in 1986. A hard worker, Bryan grew up learning tree work, woodworking, fixing cars and small engine repair, working with scrap metals and junking. He worked in construction for Wilhelm Construction for many years, JBK Truck & Bus, then as laborer in Laborer’s Union Local #120 and most recently with Citimark.
In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, squirrel hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, fixing cars and small engines as he had a natural knack in all things mechanical in breaking them down and making them run like new again. He will be remembered as a wonderful guy, who was always there whenever anyone needed help.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy A. Scott.
He is survived by his children, Melissa McGuff, Becky Scott, Roy Scott, Jerry Perry; his father, Raymond “Tom” Scott; wife Lisa Scott; brothers, Bradley E. Scott, Brent E. Scott, Brock E. Scott; 15 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren, along with many extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Bryan’s life on Thursday, September 1st from 4-8pm a Carlisle Branson Funeral Service, Mooresville, with services on Friday, September 2nd at 10:30am at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in IOOF Cemetery, Waverly.

You were the brother I never had even if you were just my brother in law. You were there for me. There was nothing we couldn’t tell each other. We both cried on each other’s shoulders of our heartbreak. You gave me good advice and some not so good. Lol. You made me laugh by your dorky jokes.. Know I will miss you like crazy and a piece of me went with you. Say hi to mom for me. Love you brother. You’ll never be forgotten.
