Carl Elliott, 55, passed away on June 17, 2026. Born on July 2, 1970, Carl spent much of his life in Indianapolis, Indiana, and later resided in Belle Union, Indiana, after becoming ill in 2024.

Carl was a dedicated truck driver for many years. He loved his dog, Chaz, more than anything and was a dog person through and through. Every dog seemed to love him just as much as he loved them. Before becoming ill, Carl enjoyed riding motorcycles and embracing the freedom of the open road. In recent years, he discovered a newfound love for birdwatching and found peace and joy in nature. Carl absolutely loved spending time with his grandchildren, he truly looked forward to weekends with them. He loved his family with all of his heart.

Most of all, Carl will be remembered for his kind heart and incredible sense of humor. He never missed an opportunity to make someone smile or laugh. His quick wit, playful personality, and genuine compassion left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Carl was preceded in death by his father, Charles Elliott Sr.(Karan), his grandmother, Alice Tevault, grandfather, Robert Tevault, grandmother, Gladys Mae Elliott, and grandfather, Starling Elliott.

He is survived by his mother, Roberta Sue Neely (Mark); his twin brother, Charles Elliott (Nora); his sister, Carla Spencer (Rodney); his stepbrother, Stevie Zellers (Courtney); his son, Carl Elliott Jr.; Jennifer Stout (Caleb); his nephew, Charlie Elliott (Kirsten); his nephews Lee Spencer, Rodney Spencer, Ricky Spencer, and Ben Spencer; his niece, Stevie Spencer; his beloved grandchildren, Aria Elliott and Ezra Elliott; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory forever.

Carl’s love for his family was evident in everything he did. He had one of the biggest hearts of anyone who knew him. He found joy in spending time with those he loved and had a unique ability to brighten even the most difficult days with laughter. His memory will live on through the stories, smiles, and love he shared with so many throughout his life.

Funeral arrangements will be held at Carlisle Branson Funeral Home at 39 East High Street Mooresville, Indiana 46158 on Friday, June 26,2026. Viewing is from 12-2pm, with the service beginning at 2pm and burial at Mooresville Cemetery directly following.  Come as you are that’s what Carl would want!

Though he is no longer with us, Carl’s legacy of love, laughter, kindness, and generosity will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
